The practice nurses are responsible for the following procedures: cervical smears, wart treatment, dressings, immunisations, blood pressure checks, ear syringing, travel advice, ECGs, blood tests, management of long term conditions, registration health checks, minor illness, family planning and other health related issues.

 

District Nurses - 01224 564946

District and community nurses attend to patients who require nursing care or treatment in their own home and offer services to those affected by chronic illness, including cancer support, following discharge from hospital, and palliative care. They work closely with the multidisciplinary team and will assess the care or treatment you require, together with you and/or your carers.

 

Midwife Team

You will see a midwife following confirmation of pregnancy. The midwife will provide antenatal and postnatal care.

 

Health Visitor - 01224 564950

The health visitors provide help and advice, particularly to parents with young children. This includes help with parenting, supporting women with postnatal depression and seeing children for immunisations.

 

Practice Manager- Maureen Higgs 

The practice manager oversees the running of the practice and deals with any issues or queries from patients.

 

Administration Team

The administration staff support the practice clinical team and are your first point of contact with the practice. They will assist you in making appointments with a doctor or a member of the nursing team, ordering repeat prescriptions and will help direct any other queries you may have.
